A continental breakfast, lunch, and refreshments throughout the day will be provided in the Club's comfortable ballroom space. Scheduled breaks will allow for needed home and work check-ins. Speaker Bios:

Eden Dales, MSW RSW, is a registered social worker, and the owner and director of Eden Dales Social Work (EDSW), a community- based, trauma-focused social work practice. EDSW is comprised of a dozen registered social workers have expertise in trauma recovery, and conduct assessments, prepare reports, and provide advocacy, brokerage and counselling services to clients in various languages and regions across Ontario. Eden also maintains a private counselling practice in North York, where she lives, for individuals, couples and families. Eden specializes in trauma, stress management, mood management, executive function challenges, concussions, and brain injuries.

Eden obtained her master’s degree in social work in 2001 from Yeshiva University and worked at Beth Israel Medical Center in NYC during 9/11. Prior to starting her private practice, Eden worked at Sick Kids in the NICU, where she supported families with complex trauma recovery. Eden is trained in trauma-informed counselling modalities including cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy, mindfulness-based stress reduction and brief and narrative therapy. She is certified in couples therapy.

Vicki Edgar was called to the Bar in 1990 and has been a Partner of Cohen Highley LLP since 1998.

Vicki practises civil litigation with an emphasis on personal injury law. Vicki has courtroom experience at all levels including the Ontario Court of Appeal and Supreme Court of Canada. She has also been involved extensively with the Licence Appeal Tribunal in Ontario. Vicki has participated in the Moot Court Program at Western University Law School, and she has given in-house seminars to clients on a variety of issues such as the arbitration process and insurance legislation. In addition, Vicki is involved in the horse industry as a breeder and has written several articles in horse publications on sport and liability issues.

Vicki is a member of the Middlesex Law Association, the Ontario Bar Association, the Canadian Bar Association, and SARI Therapeutic Riding Facility (Former President of the Board of Directors and active fundraiser).

Vicki’s area of Practice include Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice.

Alexa Duggan practices personal injury litigation with an emphasis on disability law and human rights. She is passionate about helping others, and personal injury and disability law allows her to advocate for people in what can be their most challenging times. Alexa completed her undergraduate degree at Western University and attended Osgoode Hall Law School where she obtained her Juris Doctor degree in 2018. Alexa is active in the local community and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Regional HIV/AIDS Connection, and volunteers as a committee member for the Brain Injury Association of London and Region. Through Alexa’s work and life experiences, she has learned that kindness, compassion, and fairness are the foundation of a strong community, and she strives to instill those values in her practice. Alexa’s practice areas include historic sexual abuse, motor vehicle collision litigation, and disability claims. She is a passionate animal advocate and vegan, and enjoys hiking, bird watching, kayaking, golfing and softball.
